Minnesota Timberwolves

The Minnesota Timberwolves have been representing the Twin Cities since 1989. The Timberwolves replaced the Minneapolis Lakers, who left for Los Angeles in 1960. Since Minnesota has the largest amount of Timberwolves in the country, it was only natural to name to team after the wild wolf pack. The Timberwolves have been playing in the Target Center since 1990.

After trading Kevin Garnett in 2007, the Minnesota Timberwolves needed to do some major team rebuilding. In return for their star player, the Timberwolves received five players which is the biggest trade for a single player in NBA history.
