Minnesota Wild Season Review 2009-10 Wild Season WE SALUTE YOU FOR... 1. End of the season renewal. With three new players on the team (Nate Prosser, Cody Almond and Casey Wellman), the Wild showed signs of a bright future towards the end of the season. 2. Guillaume Latendresse. After being traded to the Wild by Montreal for Benoit Pouliot, Latendresse immediately achieved recognition for his performance. His hard work gained him 25 goals in 55 games, while his good spirit gained him his spot among the other Wild players. WE LOATHE YOU FOR... 1. Defensive Unit. In the past, the Wild's defense has been their go-to for keeping everything under control. This past season, on the other hand, there were way too many break downs in our own zone and way too many clearing opportunities missed. 2. Goaltenders. Niklas Backstrom and Josh Harding had obvious subpar seasons and neither of the two are denying it. 3. No challenge for the Playoffs. It was a just plain unrealistic at the end of the season.
