Branko Radivojevic signed with Spartak Moscow of the Kontinental Hockey League.

Branko Radivojevič was born November 24, 1980 in Piešťany, Czechoslovakia. He began playing hockey at age four and says his parents inspired his hockey career. Radivojevič was drafted by the Colorado Avalanche in a 3rd round choice in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft.

Branko Radivojevic signed with the Phoenix Coyotes on June 19, 2001 and played parts of the next three seasons there. Part of a mid-season trade in 2003-04, Radivojevic was sent to the Philadelphia Flyers along with Sean Burke and the rights to Ben Eager for Mike Comrie. He skated in 238 NHL games during five seasons with Phoenix and Philadelphia. In the 2005-06 NHL season, he scored eight goals and added six assists for 14 points in 64 games with the Flyers.

Internationally, Radivojevic represented Slovakia at the 2004 World Cup of Hockey where he registered an assist in four games. He also won a bronze medal with Slovakia at the 2003 World Championships and played for Slovakia at the 2000 World Junior Championship.

After 2005-06, the Flyers declined to tender him a qualifying offer making him an unrestricted free agent. He signed with the Minnesota Wild as an unrestricted free agent on July 6, 2006. So far with the Minnesota Wild, Branko Radivojevic has played in 79 games and made 9 goals and 12 assists. Branko Radivojevic has recorded 79 career points on 34 goals and 45 assists. The Minnesota Wild looks forward to seeing more goals from this quick Slovakian in games to come.

Radivojevic, nicknamed “Rady,” is single and resides in Trencin, Slovakia during the off-season. He calls his first NHL goal his most memorable hockey moment. His favorite road city is New York and his favorite team to play is Detroit. The Minnesota Wild will need the passionate Branko Radivojevic to give it all he’s got when the team comes up against tough NHL opponents at home and on the road.
