Born in 1986, Cam Barker is one of the younger defensemen on the Minnesota Wild's blueline core. Coming over in a trade from the Chicago Blackhawks last season, Cam Barker is ready to play his first full season with the Minnesota Wild.

Cam Barker started his NHL career in 2005, playing in 1 game. He was drafted 3rd overall in the 2004 NHL Draft only behind superstars Alex Ovechkin and Evgeni Malkin. He would then play 4 more seasons with the Chicago Blackhawks, scoring a high of 40 points in the 2008-2009 season.

On February 12, 2010 Cam Barker officially became part of the Minnesota Wild when General Manager Chuck Fletcher acquired him in a trade. In 19 games with the Minnesota Wild in 2009-2010, Cam Barker registered 1 goal and 6 assists.
