Chuck Kobasew signed with the Colorado Avalanche.

Chuck Kobasew was born April 17, 1982 in British Colombia, Canada. From an early age it was clear that Chuck Kobasew was a natural hockey star. Chuck Kobasew came to the United States for college and spent one season with the Boston College Eagles Hockey program. Kobasew was part of the team that won the National Championship and several of his teammates also went on to play in the NHL. In the NCCA Frozen Four Tournament, Chuck Kobasew was named MVP.

In the 2001 NHL Draft, Chuck Kobasew was a first round (14th overall) pick for the Calgary Flames. Chuck Kobasew played for the Lowell Lock Monsters during the 2004-2005 NHL Lockout but returned to the Calgary Flames for the 2005-2006 season, scoring his first ever Hat Trick against the Colorado Avalanche in 2006. Chuck Kobasew and fellow Calgary Flames teammate, Andrew Ference were traded to the Boston Bruins in 2007.

Chuck Kobasew was traded to the Minnesota Wild in 2009 and officially joined the MN Wild roster on October 18, 2009. Minnesota Wild fans are eager to see Chuck Kobasew bring his talent and natural hockey skill to Minnesota Hockey.
